Kitchen Refresh

January 13, 2021

After the holiday season, it always feels so good to get the Christmas decorations put away and have a clear and decluttered home. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas and all of the decorations and festivities that come with it. But, I have the mindset of “go big or go home” when it comes to celebrating - so Christmas takes over my home in the best way possible. Now that it is January, it’s time to clear Christmas and start the new year with a clean slate. The one area of my home that feels so nice and fresh now is the kitchen. I changed up some of my go tos for a new look and feel:

  1. I decided to leave some of my decor that has more of a winter feel than a Christmas one. This will make the inside of my home match the current season.

  2. My counter tops remain mostly clear with the exception of my cake plate and everyday kitchen tools.

  3. I put a cookbook on display because it is cute and I hope that I use the recipes inside.

  4. I left my kitchen table clear of chargers, decorative plates, and tall centerpieces to keep the look of the kitchen fresh and clean.

The goal was to keep a very clean and semi-wintery look to the kitchen, and I am pleased with how it looks (for now!).

Until Next Time,
